ABOUT THE KUNG FU KICKBOXING STYLE
The hybrid Kung Fu / Kickboxing style that is taught at Iron Dragon was created by Twins Mick and Martin McNamara after several years of intense study under Paul Chan at the Hong Luk Kung Fu Club in Toronto.

The Twins combined Chinese Kicking and Punching techniques with their Boxing skills to create a unique style of fighting that was way ahead of its time in 1972/1973. The closest comparable art at the time was Bruce Lee s Jeet Kune Do. At a time when most other clubs trained in Traditional Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu, this new art (which stressed physical conditioning over the flashy techniques of the other arts) dominated the martial arts scene in Toronto and North America for many years.

The art was an early form of the Kickboxing that we know today. Our Kung Fu / Kickboxing Lineage is as follows:
Mick & Martin McNamara--->Karl Adhihetty. It is important to note that Iron Dragon Kung Fu Club came into existence in 1997 as a franchise of Twin Dragon Kung Fu Club.  Iron Dragon and Twin Dragon parted amicably in 2000 and remain close to this day.
